  7. Useful as the basis around which to build a document imaging system, KeyX-SIE
  8. is Double Click Imaging's X Window System display server extended with the SIE
  9. imaging extensions defined by Network Computing Devices (NCD)
  10.  
  11. NCD defined the SIE (Simple Imaging Extension) protocol to handle manipulation
  12. of monochrome (1-bit) images. This protocol has been offered to the industry as
  13. a standard for manipulation of 1-bit images
  14.  
  15. Using SIE, images may be copied, transferred, scaled, rotated, compressed, and
  16. decompressed. CCITT Groups 3 and 4 compression are supported. Images will be
  17. scaled when source and destination rectangles do not match
  18.  
  19. KEYX-SIE allows a system to transfer images in a compressed format across a
  20. network, providing 13:1 gains in transfer size and speed
  21.  
  22. Double Click Imaging provides library routines with its KeyX X Window System
  23. server which make use of the NCD-defined protocol. KeyX-SIE is available for a
  24. variety of high-resolution display environments. All products are based on
  25. X11R4

  27. KeyX-SIE products are currently available which support the following display
  28. environments: .BL .LI KeyX-SIE/CS: imaging done by Kofax on Cornerstone
  29. Technology's DualPage and DualPage 150 display monitors .LI KeyX-SIE/SD:
  30. imaging done by Kofax hardware on Sigma Designs' L-*View and MultiMode display

  34. application
